
Haywood County currently uses a conventional UHF radio system for dispatching fire and medical units. Our two primary channels are County Fire (453.200), and Med9 (462.950). We have repeaters on four mountain tops within the county:
Chambers Mountain
The Chambers repeaters are our primary repeaters. These repeaters cover a majority of the county.

Crabtree Bald
The repeaters on Crabtree Bald provide better coverage in the Crabtree and Fines Creek communities, as well as the I-40 gorge area.
Mt. Pisgah
The repeater on Mt. Pisgah provides better coverage in the Bethel and Cruso communities, as well as areas of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Setzer Mountain
The repeater on Setzer Mountain provides better coverage in the Maggie Valley (Soco) area.
