In January 2013, Holy Comforter Episcopal School’s iEducate™: Engage, Enrich, Empower Initiative was named an Apple Distinguished Program for 2012-2013 school year. The Holy Comforter iEducate™ program joins a select class of institutions that Apple is recognizing nationwide as exemplary learning environments and centers of innovation, leadership, and educational excellence.
“We are honored to be recognized as an Apple Distinguished Program. It is critically important to incorporate technology into our curriculum so that we are preparing our students for an ever-changing world. I am thrilled that the work of our faculty and staff has been recognized with such distinction.”
- Peter Klekamp, Head of School
The Holy Comforter iEducate™ program began in January 2011 as a technology initiative formed to create a road map for 21st century learning. The mission of Holy Comforter iEducate™ is to engage students in learning, enrich the classroom environment, and empower every learner with the tools necessary to be productive citizens in the 21st century. Holy Comforter’s newly adopted STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) program is supported by the Holy Comforter iEducate™ initiative and furthers the school’s desire to equip students with the skills needed to become productive members of our global society.

The Apple Distinguished Program designation is reserved for programs that meet criteria for innovation, leadership, and educational excellence, and demonstrate Apple’s vision of exemplary learning environments.

The selection of Holy Comforter’s iEducate™ Program as an Apple Distinguished Program highlights its successes in enhancing and extending teaching and learning with thoughtful and innovative implementations of technology. As a result of the Holy Comforter iEducate™ initiative, Holy Comforter has become an Apple campus utilizing only Apple technology products for educational purposes.
