HCES Band & Guitar Student Attend Music Workshop
On Tuesday, October 16th, HCES Band and Guitar students participated in a music workshop at Lincoln High School featuring Trans-Siberian Orchestra founding violinist Mark Wood. Topics included musicianship, incorporating new styles/genres in school music settings, instrument design, arranging, and musical entrepreneurship. Mr. Wood interacted extensively with Holy Comforter students over the course of the presentation, taking great interest in their musical activities. The kids truly enjoyed hearing, and seeing, this world-class performer in such an up-close setting. A special thank you to Lincoln High School Orchestra Director Dr. Clara Knotts for including our students!
