You make our days brighter... Welcome, Grandpeople!

HCES students brightened their "grandpeople's" day with a morning of musical cheer on Tuesday, November 20th at the annual Grandpeople's Day program. Over 400 grandpeople joined their grandchildren for a morning of performances and time in the classroom.

After a lively music program full of songs, grandpeople were invited back to the classroom to visit and enjoy refreshments. Three separate sessions for different grade levels invited them for time with their students. Grandparents in the 1st and 2nd sessions listened to the wonderful music performed by grades PK-1st and 2nd - 5th grade students. Middle school students invited their grandpeople to a traditional chapel program with performances from guitar students and the Middle School Choir.

Grandpeople's Day, a long-standing Holy Comforter tradition, is held each year on the Tuesday before the Thanksgiving holidays. A grandperson may be a grandparent, aunt, uncle, friend or any special person. A very special thank you to Grandpeople's Chair, Katherine Boland and her team of volunteers for coordinating another incredible day for our special visitors.
