Lindsey Zander

Lindsey Zander currently serves as the Executive Director of the Florida Education Foundation which is the direct support organization for the Florida Department of Education (DOE). Lindsey has over a decade of government relations experience.
Her experience includes serving as the Director of Legislative Affairs for the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) which runs the state’s Medicaid program covering approximately 5 million low-income individuals, and licenses over 45,000 of the state’s health care facilities. She also served as the Deputy Director of Legislative Affairs and as the Legislative Specialist at the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF). While at DCF, Lindsey also served as the Executive Director of the Florida Children and Youth Cabinet which is charged with promoting and implementing collaboration, increased efficiency, and improved service delivery between state agencies and organizations for the benefit of Florida’s children. Prior to working at DCF, Lindsey served in the Governor’s Office of Policy and Budget where she focused primarily on public safety policy and budget issues, and she also gained experience in private sector consulting. 

Lindsey holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of North Florida, and a Master of Public Administration from Nova Southeastern University. A Florida native, and HCES alumni, Lindsey lives in Tallahassee with her husband, Skylar, and two children, Emma (5) and John (2).
