Epic Eras Adventure Summer Day Camp

(K - 5th Grade)

Attention, Time Travelers! Set your chronometers, step into your time machines, and join us on an adventure like no other in our Epic Eras Adventure Summer Camp! Experience history come to life as campers jump from dinosaurs and ancient civilizations, to castles, colonies, and the Wild West, groove through the 1950s, and blast off to the Future.
 
Designed for K–5th grade hoppers, each week is packed with hands-on activities, games, crafts, and learning that sparks curiosity and imagination. Whether your young explorer jumps in for a week or several, they’ll collect memories from the past, present, and beyond—and experience an adventure that’s truly timeless.   • K - 1st will have weekly special events - Guest Presenters, Themed Days, Indoor Bounce Houses, Obstacle Courses, On-Campus Field Trips, and more!
  • 2nd - 5th will do weekly field trips - Skate World, Wakulla Springs, Urban Air, and more!

  • Deposit

    A non-refundable $75 deposit per child, per week of camp is included in your balance. This non-refundable deposit is due at the time of registration. Camp weeks must be paid in full by May 1st.
  • Cancellation & Refund Policy

    Cancellations more than 14 days in advance will receive a full refund minus the deposit. Cancellations less than 14 days will receive a 50% refund minus the deposit. No refunds will be given for week-of cancellations. We are not able to accept American Express or Discover at this time.

Lil’ Crusaders Epic Eras Adventure Summer Camp

(PK3 - PK4 Registered HCES students)

Our youngest time travelers unleash their energy with adventures designed just for them from 7:30 am to 11:30 am. From splashing down water slides on Water Day, to line dancing to country tunes in the Wild West, to crafting futuristic robots from recycled materials, every moment is packed with discovery and delight at Lil’ Crusaders Epic Eras Adventure Summer Camp. This program is designed to help our PK students have a smooth transition into the school year and is led by our very own HCES teachers. See below for extended care options.

Crusader Specialty Camps

(PK - 8th Grade)

Join our dedicated HCES teachers and coaches this summer as they guide campers through a variety of exciting experiences in camps on topics including skateboarding, cheerleading, Lego building, Disney, community service, and more. Speciality Camps begin at 7:30 am and end at 11:30 am. Extended care options are available.

  • Week 1: 6/1-6/5 

    • Skateboard Camp with Coach Wilkerson (2nd-5th): Whether it's their first time getting on a skateboard or if they are trying to hone in their skills, this is a camp for everyone. In this one-week camp, beginner skaters will learn skateboard mechanics and basic riding skills such as balance, carving, riding transitions, and various tricks. Advanced skaters will learn grinds, ollies, and flip tricks. Lessons will be adapted to the students' ability, and all participants will be educated in skateboard safety. This camp will be taught by our very own Coach Wilkerson, who has given skateboarding lessons for many years. 
    • Art/Science Camp with Mrs. Chaney (PK4): Activate your creativity and engage your senses in art/science camp! We will be doing fun art projects and science experiments designed for littles. 
    • Drum & Percussion Camp with Mr. Nathan (3rd-6th): Come learn the fundamentals of percussion in a fun group setting. Students will learn foundational techniques in concert percussion, hand percussion, and drum set. Pair of drumsticks required (size 7A or 5A preferred).
    • All Things WICKED with Mrs. Cureton (1st-3rd): We will explore the story of Wicked. Have dress-up days, Wicked readings, Wicked-themed crafts, a Sing-A-Long Day, and eat Wicked snacks. 
    • Crusaders in the Community with Mrs. Cheesborough (6th-8th): Join Mrs. Cheesborough for a hands-on, service-oriented camp geared specifically for middle school students. We'll venture out to serve non-profit organizations throughout our community and gain insight regarding the impact these organizations have locally and beyond. Components of leadership and teamwork will be entwined throughout the week. The HCES bus will be used for all off-campus trips, and students will earn 15 service hours throughout the week. 
  • Week 2: 6/8-6/12

    • Summer Spirit Cheer Camp with Mrs. K (K-1st): Get ready for a high-energy week of spirit and smiles at Summer Spirit Cheer Camp for rising kindergarten and first-grade campers! Led by a former Upward cheer coach and commissioner, this camp blends beginner cheer skills with tons of creative fun. Campers will learn motions, chants, jumps, a dance, and a simple routine in a supportive, confidence-building environment. Each day includes a hands-on craft—decorating a cheer bow, megaphone, and t-shirt for the final performance. With upbeat activities, teamwork, and plenty of chances to shine, campers will end the week ready to show off a short routine they’ve learned! (Note: Final performance on Friday at 10 am in The Commons.) 
    • Disney Discovery with Mrs. Autrey (1st-2nd): Get ready for a magical summer adventure! At our Disney Discovery Camp, kids will jump into their favorite Disney stories through fun STEM activities, creative writing, pretend play, and lots of art. During this special week, we'll use our big imaginations and creative thinking as we build roller coasters, castles, and inventions, create our own stories, pretend to be our favorite characters, and make colorful crafts inspired by the world of Disney! Kids will get to think like real imagineers as they solve problems, create cool projects, and explore their ideas in exciting ways. It's a place where we learn new things, make new friends, and have tons of fun! A magical summer is waiting for you! 
    • Lego Camp with Mr. Long (2nd-5th): Join us this summer for LEGO camp! Treat your child to the excitement of building and creating all week long. At Lego camp, we will practice free building and create prescripted builds. There will be time for both individual play and teamwork! The challenge of building stimulates the brain and promotes resilience. A spaceship? A race car? A castle? Not even the sky's the limit! 
    • Discover South Korea with Mrs. Long (3rd-5th): An-nyong ha se yo! Step into an adventure with a camp that blends Korean culture, music, language, and fun! We'll learn about cool artists from today and long ago, practice simple Korean words and phrases, try yummy Korean snacks, and get a real look at life in South Korea from Mrs. Long. Whether you want to explore a new country, are curious about K-Pop, or just want a camp that's exciting and different, this is the place to be! 
    • Crusaders in the Community with Mrs. Cheesborough (6th-8th): Join Mrs. Cheesborough for a hands-on, service-oriented camp geared specifically for middle school students.     • Lego Lab Jr. with Mrs. K (K-1st): If you are looking for a hands-on STEM camp for your young builder, LEGOLab Jr. is for you! Imagination is key as your child uses LEGO® bricks to explore the world of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math through a week of guided projects and challenges as well as free-play, free-builds, and LEGO-themed crafts and games to stir their imagination and creativity as a true master builder. 
    • Food Truck Frenzy with Mrs. Hester(3rd-5th): Learn how to start a food truck business from the ground up! You will design a business plan, market your food truck, create a menu, and build a mini 3D replica of your food truck. Using your creative mind, let’s build a business together.  
    • Lego Camp with Mr. Long (2nd-5th): Join us this summer for LEGO camp! Treat your child to the excitement of building and creating all week long. At Lego camp, we will practice free building and create prescripted builds. There will be time for both individual play and teamwork!   • Week 4: 6/22-6/26

    • There's a Podcast for That with Mrs. Young (4th-7th): Do you have a story to tell, a joke to share, or a topic you want to discuss? Join us to launch your very own podcast! In "There's a Podcast for That!", campers will transform into audio engineers and hosts. We will learn the art of digital storytelling, voice acting, and sound design. Using iPads and GarageBand, students will script, record, and edit a professional-quality podcast episode, complete with sound effects, interviews, and custom theme music. Find your voice and broadcast it this summer!
    • Jewelry Making with Mrs. Hale (3rd-5th): Come learn how to make amazing jewelry with Mrs. Hale! We will make earrings, necklaces, and bracelets using a variety of materials that are sure to WOW!
    • Kindness Camp with Mrs. Mills (2nd-5th): As followers of Christ, we are called to serve others. Have fun with friends as we focus on ways we can serve our families, school, and community through various crafts, projects, and volunteering. 
    • Summertime Art with Mrs. Harrison (PK4-K): Join Mrs. Harrison for a fun week of summer-themed art projects and stories. 
  • Week 6: 7/6-7/10

Reading, sight words, addition/subtraction, number bond,s and games too! This will be a funweek for current and incoming students as we prepare for 1st Grade at Holy Comforter!
  • Week 8: 7/20-7/24

    • Disney World Adventure Camp with Mr. Long (1st-4th): Join us this summer for Disney World Adventure Camp! Campers will step into the magic of the parks as they imagine, design, and play their way through a week of Disney-themed fun.     • Beginning Embroidery with Mrs. Carpenter, 2nd-5th: Students will receive supplies and instruction necessary to learn the basic stitches of embroidery. At the end of the week, we will embellish t-shirts, backpacks, or jackets brought from home.
    • Science Cooking Camp with Ms. James (3rd-5th): No kitchen? No problem! Students will experiment with chemistry to put together tasty treats like solar-baked s'mores and states of matter with rootbeer floats! 

Camp Crusader Athletic Camps

(1st - 8th)

In each athletics camp, you will receive coaching and mentoring on the fundamentals of each sport and be taught the rules of the game. By the end of the week, the kids will have more knowledge of the game and a passion to continue to play that sport with the experience they receive from our coaches. Athletic Camps begin at 7:30 am and end at 11:30 am. Extended care options are available. Scroll down for all of our Athletic Camp and extended care offerings and to register.

Week 1 (6/1/25 - 6/5/25): Soccer Camp (1st - 5th Grade)
Soccer Camp: This camp will be led by our Middle School Boys Soccer Coach, Danny Cruz. Join Coach Cruz in a fun-filled week of soccer as he teaches the fundamentals of soccer and teaches the rules while incorporating a fun learning environment, as you improve your soccer skills. 
 
Week 2 (6/8/25 - 6/12/25): Volleyball Camp (3rd - 8th Grade)
Volleyball Camp: This camp will be led by our Middle School Volleyball Coach, Joy Becker. Join Coach Becker in a great week of all things volleyball. Spend the week learning the proper techniques of hitting the ball while learning the objective of the game, and improving your skills. 
There are no after-care or extended day options for 6th through 8th grade students.
 
Week 3 (6/15/25 - 6/19/25): Soccer Camp (5th - 8th Grade)
Middle School Soccer Camp: This camp will be led by our Middle School Boys Soccer Coach, Danny Cruz. Join Coach Cruz in a fun-filled week of soccer as he teaches the fundamentals of soccer and teaches the rules while incorporating a fun learning environment, as you improve your soccer skills. 
There are no after-care or extended day options for 6th through 8th grade students.
 
Week 3 (6/15/25 - 6/19/25): Basketball Camp (1st - 5th Grade)
Basketball Camp: This camp will be led by our Middle School Boys Basketball Coach, Mike McGrotha. Spend the week with our middle school basketball coach, Coach McGrotha, as you develop or grow a love for basketball as he teaches the fundamentals and rules of the game. 
 
Week 4 (6/22/24 - 6/26/24): Middle School Basketball Camp (5th grade - 8th Grade)
Middle School Basketball Camp: This camp will be led by our Middle School Boys Basketball Coach, Mike McGrotha. Spend the week with our middle school basketball coach, Coach McGrotha as you develop or grow a love for basketball as he teaches the fundamentals and rules of the game. 
 
Week 5 (6/29/25 - 7/1/25): Baseball/Softball Camp (1st - 5th Grade)
Baseball/Softball Camp: This camp will be led by our Director of Athletics, Jeremy Barlow. Join Coach Barlow for this mini week of baseball camp while he teaches the fundamentals, techniques, and best ways to improve your ability in baseball or softball! 
 
Week 6 (7/6/25 - 7/10/25): Volleyball Camp (3rd - 8th Grade)
This camp will be led by our Middle School Volleyball Coach, Joy Becker. Join Coach Becker in a great week of all things volleyball. Spend the week learning the proper techniques of hitting the ball while learning the objective of the game, and improving your skills! 
There are no after-care or extended day options for 6th through 8th grade students.
 
Week 7 (7/13/25 - 7/17/25): All Sports Camp (1st - 5th Grade)
All Sports Camp: This camp will be led by our lower school P.E. Teacher, Rusty Wilkerson. Join Coach Wilkerson in a fun-filled week of all things sports. Each day, Coach Wilkerson will cover a different sport to spark an interest in something new each day! 
 
Week 8 (7/20/25 - 7/24/25): Cheerleading Camp (5th - 8th Grade)
Coach Hester’s Cheer Camp brings big energy, bright smiles, and awesome skills for 5th–8th graders! Campers will learn sharp motions, exciting jumps, beginner stunts, and crowd-pumping cheers while building confidence and teamwork along the way. Each day brings new skills, games, and plenty of giggles, all leading up to a lively showcase where athletes can show off what they’ve learned. It’s the perfect place to grow, shine, and cheer your heart out with Coach Hester!

    A field trip shirt is included for Summer Day Camp and lunch will be provided for our friends who stay past 11:30 am. Our campers will also receive a morning and afternoon snack, and we ask that our friends with food allergies or special diets please notify our staff and bring snacks from home.

Current HCES Parent

Oh what fun! Our daughter’s first camp experience at HCES was very positive, as it helped her to quickly acclimate to HCES as an incoming Pre-K 3 student. The activities were creative and fun, she met a few of her future classmates, and she looked forward to each day of her ‘new school camp’. Camp Crusader was a happy addition to her summer activities. Many thanks to the faculty and staff for making Camp Crusader a great experience for all!

Summer Camp at HCES

HCES Summer Camp is packed with fun, growth, and exciting adventures! Campers will enjoy thrilling field trips, creative activities, and a dynamic curriculum that keeps them engaged and current.

Our program blends summer fun with meaningful learning experiences, all while carrying on the mission of the school day in a supportive and inspiring environment. Each week, rising PK3 - 5th grade campers dive into a new theme filled with fun and enriching activities that promise a unique, high-quality experience. 

Our weekly themes explore a fantastic variety of interests, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy! Each week brings new adventures, and campers can look forward to exciting days filled with hands-on activities, high-energy games, team-building challenges, and plenty of outdoor fun.

But that’s not all! We have even more surprises in store! From creative arts and crafts to thrilling scavenger hunts, every day is designed to inspire joy and foster friendships. Our dedicated staff is committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment where campers can thrive and make unforgettable memories.
