Admissions Open Enrollment
We’re so glad to offer you a simple, quick way to verify your child’s enrollment and your payment preferences for the coming school year.
Your child’s enrollment verification will be available online on Friday, January 30th, and must be submitted by Friday, February 13th in order to reserve their place at Holy Comforter for the 2026-2027 school year.

What is Open Enrollment?
You signed the Continuous Enrollment Contract, which will remain in effect until your child graduates from Holy Comforter—no need to sign another one. Each year during Open Enrollment, you’ll be informed of any updates to the contract and have the opportunity to notify the school if your plans or circumstances have changed. -
When is Open Enrollment this year?
January 30 - February 13, 2026 -
What do I need to do during Open Enrollment?
Log in to the HCES website and look for the yellow banner announcing Enrollment Verification(s) to review. For each child, you will select a tuition payment plan and pay a $250 non-refundable deposit. That’s it, you’re done! Remember, this deposit is applied to your 2026-2027 tuition. -
If we won’t be returning to HCES in 2026-2027, how should I notify the school?
Before or during Open Enrollment, send an email to the admissions office stating that your child will not be returning to HCES for the 2026-2027 school year and include the official withdrawal date (May 22, 2026). Please email: mwilson@hces.org and copy iengelbreacht@hces.org -
How much is tuition next year?
You received an email from the Board with various links, including the Financial Schedule for 2026-2027. You can also log into the website and look on the Resources page for a link labeled “Contract Informational Links”. You’ll find links to any documents you might need, including the Financial Schedule, Student Handbooks, Dewar’s Tuition Refund Plan pamphlet, Truth in Lending Statement, and more. What about unique circumstances? Though I had planned to keep my kids at HCES through middle school graduation, I've had a major life change/circumstance and Open Enrollment is now closed. What do I do?
We have built flexibility into the Continuous Enrollment Contract. So, for major life changes/unique circumstances, you will contact the admissions office and will be guided to make a request to the Board of Trustees to be released from your contract. These requests are decided on a case by case basis. -
What if I am behind on my account?
All accounts must be kept current to receive an Enrollment Verification, a guaranteed grade level placement, or records. HCES reserves the right to not guarantee your grade level placement if there is an outstanding balance. Tuition assistance will only be awarded when accounts are current. -
I am enrolling a sibling of a currently enrolled student. What do I need to do?
As part of the first-time enrollment process for all new students, you will complete a continuous enrollment contract for the new student, after they have been accepted, indicating that you are enrolling your child at HCES until they graduate or notify us otherwise. Each student will have their own Continuous Enrollment contract. -
Is there a penalty if I cancel my Continuous Enrollment Contract and then decide to enroll later?
Families who decide to cancel their contract and later decide to enroll, must contact the Admission Office for space availability. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a grade level seat for a student unless an Enrollment Verification Form has been completed during Open Enrollment (1/30/2026-2/13/26). -
I’m applying for financial aid, what do I need to do?

- If you have not applied in the past, please contact Meghan Wilson at: mwilson@hces.org.
- If you are concerned about the amount of assistance, please ask Meghan about including a Contingency statement in your Enrollment Verification Form.

Holy Comforter Episcopal School offers financial aid to families based on demonstrated need. No scholarships for academics, athletics, or the arts are given. We do not participate in any state or federal scholarship programs. Students must be accepted and committed to the school before a tuition award will be made. Dear Families,Holy Comforter Episcopal School has partnered with Clarity to conduct financial need assessments for the 2026/2027 academic year.How to Apply for Financial Aid:If you would like to apply for financial aid, please visit: Clarity applicationImportant Information:• The application process is confidential, and all applications are evaluated using the same criteria by Clarity.• A new application is required each year for families seeking tuition assistance.• Clarity charges a $65 nonrefundable fee for application processing and financial analysis.• Assistance awards are based on demonstrated financial need as determined by Clarity. However, this does not guarantee a specific award amount from Holy Comforter. Our Financial Aid Committee uses this data as a guide when making award decisions.• Full financial aid is not available, as our goal is to support as many families as possible with available funds.* Both parents must apply for financial aid. If parents are separated, divorced, or were never married, each parent must complete a separate Clarity Financial Aid Application. If either parent has remarried, the stepparent's financial information should also be included.Application Deadline: January 15, 2026Financial aid applications must be submitted to Clarity with all required documentation by January 15, 2026.Families who submit a complete financial aid application by the deadline can expect a response regarding potential financial aid in March.Before financial aid can be awarded, families must submit a completed Clarity application along with their HCES Continuous Contract(s) or Enrollment Verification Form(s). Step by Step Instructions for Completing the Clarity Financial Aid Application
This guide outlines the process for completing the Clarity Financial Aid Application for the 2026–2027 academic year.Step 1
Go to **https://app.clarityapp.com/sign-up.**Step 2
Begin your application and add Holy Comforter Episcopal School to your student applicant entry. You can save your application and log out at any time and return later to complete it.Step 3
Enter your financial information, review your application, and pay the $65 Clarity application fee.Step 4
US taxpayers: Complete the Clarity Enhanced Tax Verification (ETV) process to release your W2 and personal tax return transcripts from the IRS. You'll be asked to authorize the sharing of your tax transcripts and verify your identity. This is a one-time security measure required by the IRS to protect against identity theft and the compromise of personal information. Only those filing US taxes will be prompted to complete this step. Clarity offers two options for the enhanced tax verification process: “Clarity” and “IRS”. Please reference the Tax Verification Guide to preview the steps of this process.Step 5
Submit your Clarity application and follow the link to return to your dashboard. Here you will see any additional supporting documents requested by schools. Upload your supporting documents by January 15, 2026. Keep in mind that at a later date, you may be prompted by the school via Clarity to upload additional documentation as needed.
