The HCES Cross Country team rolled, splashed, and ran around Elinor Phipps Park this past Saturday at the Miller Landing Madness. The 3K course was a co-ed race, which included hills, ponds, grass, and rocks.
The Crusaders put together an impressive showing at the "official-unofficial" start to XC season. The boys squad took 2nd place as a team, and the girls took home the 3rd place trophy (a very large bag a candy). Leo Kelly led the boys team, finishing in 4th place overall, while Camille Resavage took the girls' top spot, and was the third female finisher overall in the 3K.
Next week, the Crusaders are back at Elinor Phipps, and will be running in the Godby Cougar Challenge 2-mile race. Go Crusaders!
