This year’s standardized testing for students in grades 3-5 will begin Monday, April 3, and run through Thursday, April 6. Once again, we will be utilizing the Educational Records Bureau (ERB) Comprehensive Testing Program for our standardized testing. This is an online test that will be conducted throughout the morning hours so it is critical that the students are on time to class each morning (8:05).
This is not a test for which students can prepare. However, in order to familiarize them with the format, the students will be working through some demonstration activities in their classrooms prior to testing week. These activities will allow them to practice navigating through the test and teach them how to properly use test features (marking questions, reviewing answers, and reviewing test sessions).
Teachers will emphasize sound testing strategies with the students. The best way to prepare for a successful testing experience is to get a good night’s sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and relax. Snacks will be provided each day of testing.
Please feel free to contact Beth McCann, Lower School Counselor, if you have any questions.
