Welcome to Holy Comforter Episcopal School!

Our Lower School provides a safe, nurturing, and inviting atmosphere for children in prekindergarten 3 through fifth grade. We are guided each and every day by our mission to, “nourish the spirit, challenge the mind, and strengthen the body in a Christian environment.” Our mission-focused attitude ensures that we educate and encourage children to be successful, life- long learners that are prepared to meet the challenges of our advanced, global society.

Academic excellence is attained as students are instructed in a positive and encouraging environment supported by Christian principals. The academic curriculum encompasses the use of research-based instructional materials and professional best practices. Our Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) program is truly unique and gives students an opportunity to learn STEM principals in a lab setting as well as in the regular classroom. This program provides authentic, inquiry-based learning experiences where problem solving, discovery, and exploratory learning are encouraged. Additionally, students receive instruction in fine arts, foreign language, physical education, and character education. Kindergarten through eighth grade students are given opportunities to learn about current technology applications and tools each day as the use of technology is integrated into the curriculum and supported by our 1:1 computer program.

Our religion curriculum includes instruction based on Christian values, beliefs and traditions. Lessons are integrated into the curriculum as well as in chapel services and classroom devotionals. Additionally, our outreach program gives students opportunities to experience faith in action as we partner with local organizations to support others in need. Some of our outreach projects include helping to stock the church food pantry, providing Christmas presents for children through Guardian ad Litem, and teaming with Miracle League Sports to provide physically challenged children opportunities to participate in sporting events in an environment best suited to meet their needs.

I invite you to visit our campus and explore the educational opportunities Holy Comforter Episcopal School offers to families in our community. Visiting our school will enable you to see firsthand how motivated and excited our students are about learning. We truly provide the superior education children need to successfully navigate school and life.

Sincerely,

Brenda Hagen, Ed.S.
