Tour Our Campus

NOTE: The following information must be submitted in order to complete your application. We do not need the original documents, they may be uploaded to your checklist, or submit them via email or fax to our Registrar, Cheryl Derstine at 850-383-1021.
  • Child’s Birth Certificate and Social Security Card
  • Student Transcripts - Report Cards, Achievement Tests, Psychological Evaluations (this information may come from your child's current school office) - Permisson to Release Student Information to HCES
  • Department of Health’s Immunization Record - Contact your child's physician for this record.
  • Department of Health’s Health Examination Form - Contact your child's physician for this record.
  • Student Recommendation Form for child’s current teacher or day care provider to complete. This form is available from the online checklist.
  • PK/K Information Form - Parents, please complete this form if your child is entering PK3-Kindergarten.  It will be available from the online checklist, after your application has been processed.
  • Middle School Questionnaire - Must be completed by all rising 6th - 8th grade students

PK Play Day or K-8th Shadow Day

Play days and shadow days are designed to introduce your child to “a day in the life” of our students. 
  • Preschool applicants (must be 3 years old for PK3 or 4 years old for PK4 by September 1st) are invited to come play with us and get acquainted with the school. Informal screenings will take place during this visit. Registration for the Play Day is available on the applicant checklist.
  • All children applying for Kindergarten (must be 5 years old by September 1st) through 8th grade are invited to spend a day shadowing with us at HCES. Each child will be assigned to a student ambassador from his/her grade to accompany him or her throughout the school day experience. Contact the Admissions Office to schedule your child's visitation by emailing our Director of Admissions, Nena Martinez, or by calling her at (850) 383-1007.

    Kindergarten - 8th Graders will receive on-site testing. Testing may be arranged during the shadow days or scheduled separately. A permission form will appear on the applicant's Admissions Checklist, if testing is required.

Contract Offered

Kindergarten – 8th grade enrollment decisions will be communicated beginning
April 4, 2018 for the 2018-2019 school year. Upon acceptance, families will be
sent an acceptance packet. The contract must be signed and returned before your
child can be enrolled as a student.

Preschool enrollment decisions will be communicated beginning in February of
2018 for the 2018-2019 school year, as application requirements are completed.

  • Episcopal School Sunday

  • *Mommy & Me

    A creative enrichment class offered to mothers and their children ages 2-3 in the Tallahassee community.  This outreach class is offered free of charge to 12 families each session, and the classes are led by our Preschool and Special Area teachers from 11:00am - 11:45am  Lessons will include movement, music, and art activities developmentally appropriate for toddlers and moms. Registration is online. For more information, contact Nena Martinez.
  • *Come Play in PK!

    Join us for a morning of play in our Preschool classrooms and experience the difference of a Holy Comforter education. Children will explore and interact in the classroom with our teachers and students, as parents visit and learn more about our preschool and kindergarten community. 

    Parents: When you arrive, please stop at the front office to sign in. We will have members of the HCES community there to greet you and guide you to the classrooms. We will spend time playing in the classrooms and on the playground with refreshments provided for both parents and children. The morning will begin at 9:30 and last until 11:00am, but we would love for you to stop by for any amount of time. The event is open to children, ages 2-4, eligible for PK3, PK4, and kindergarten in 2018-2019.
