The Speakeasy Revelry

This past Saturday, we hosted our annual Gala and Auction, a sold out event which was held in the courtyard, on our beautiful campus. All proceeds from the evening will benefit Holy Comforter and the Head of School Special Project Fund. This year's Fund will support the addition of a brand new athletic field that will feature a track and lights for those later afternoon, early evening games. Please watch the video below for a history of the fund, as well as, details on this exciting new addition to our athletic and physical education departments. If you would like to support this project, please click here to make your gift to the Head of School Special Project Fund.

The 1920's themed, Speakeasy Revelry welcomed over 280 guests to a one-of-a-kind experience as guests assumed an alias for a night of fun and fellowship benefitting Holy Comforter. Stunning flower arrangements adorned the tables and delectable wines welcomed sponsors to their seats. Attendees had the opportunity to bid on silent auction items that included health and beauty products, jewelry, athletic collectibles and our very own student art. During dinner, the live auction featured friendly competition over once in a lifetime experiences, jewelry, unique dinner parties and wonderful vacations including a 30A Beach Home and St. George Island getaway, a precious Cavapoo puppy and fun parties such as a HCES Supper Club with Head of School, Peter Klekamp and his wife, Michelle. The raffle winner for the HCES tuition giveaway was drawn during the live auction, as well. Congratulations to the Chittenden/Lycett Family! The evening concluded with the dancing to the incredible sounds of "Fly By Radio" band.

Numerous volunteers worked countless hours under the direction of Heather Brown, 2017 Gala Chair, to make the evening a success. We were thrilled with the outcome of the event and we want to thank our incredible volunteers, as well as, our gracious sponsors and donors. With your time, energy and support, the evening was a tremendous success!
