At Holy Comforter Episcopal School we offer quality care for our students that extends beyond the traditional school hours.  Three separate programs make up our extended day system.

Alpha - Before school program for PK-8th grade
Lunch Bunch - PK after school program
Omega - After school program for PK-8th grade

Alpha

Alpha is an Extended Day program at Holy Comforter Episcopal School for all currently enrolled PK3 through 8th grade students. Alpha is intended to provide a safe environment for students whose situation requires an early drop off to school. Beginning at 7:30 a.m., parents can drop off their children at school for supervised play in grades PK3 through 5th and study hall for middle school students.

PK Lunch Bunch

Lunch Bunch is an extension of the Holy Comforter Episcopal School Preschool program offering care for the children from 12:05-2:45. Lunch Bunch gives the children an opportunity to eat in a group setting with their other PK3 and PK4 friends, as well as time for outdoor play and rest time. The children remain with their classroom teachers for this part of the day, providing consistency for the children. Children who are enrolled in the Lunch Bunch program enjoy spending additional time playing and learning in a warm, nurturing environment. At the end of the school day, the children are transitioned to regular car pick-up or to Omega/Aftercare if they are enrolled in the extended day program.

Omega/Aftercare

The after school program, Omega, provides continued care and enrichment for students after traditional school hours. The program begins at dismissal time with student check-in and snack.  All Omega participants have the option to stay as late as 6:00 PM.  The program is divided according to grade levels.

The Omega program carries out our school’s mission to nourish the spirit, challenge the mind, and strengthen the body by implementing an innovative curriculum that strives to meet the needs of the students served.  Each of the grade-level groups follow a specific daily schedule that includes a variety of developmentally appropriate activities.  The younger children participate in activities such as arts & crafts, circle time activities, creative play, centers, and outdoor play.  The schedules for the older students include homework rooms, outdoor activities, art, and indoor games.

The program strives to offer a wide variety of options to ensure that the curriculum remains exciting, challenging, and fun for the students. To assist in this effort, the program contracts with outside businesses/individuals to provide additional classes for the students such as Tennis, Dance, LEGO Robotics, and Titus Sports Academy.
