PB&J Day

On Wednesday, November 8th Middle School Student Council hosted the 1st PB&J Day, meaning "Putting others Before yourself for Jesus." As part of the November outreach, collecting cans for the local "Feed a Family" project, students wanted to give the service project deeper meaning. So many in our community go without and have nothing more than a Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich to eat each day. With that in mind, student council members challenged the Middle School students to leave their lunch at home and instead bring cans to donate to the "Feed a Family" service project. In addition, a PB&J sandwich was provided for each student's lunch so that they could experience what so many in our community experience each day. Thank you to the many parent volunteers who gathered to make over 150 PB&J sandwiches for this project. Students gathered in the outdoor chapel for fellowship as they ate together. The project was a great success and we look forward to sharing the results from the "Feed a Family" outreach, as well. Great job students, together, we can make a difference!
