A Full Summer

We received an overwhelming response to our "A Full Summer" sign-up and both teams are FULL! Thank you to our families for your support and enthusiasm to serve our community.

We are still collecting donations to meet the contribution requirement which buys the snacks for the event. See below for more information about "A Full Summer". We hope you will consider supporting this cause and our HCES teams.

A Full Summer Information:
One of the most anticipated opportunities is our annual participation in A FULL SUMMER, an organization that feeds local children during the summer months. For the past two years, HCES families have worked alongside other community members to pack nutritious snacks for food insecure children in Leon County. Last year alone, our HCES teams helped pack 7,000 snacks for the 40% of local students who qualify for free or reduced-price meals. With help from Second Harvest, agencies such as Capital City Youth Services, Big Brother Big Sisters, Big Bend Homeless Coalition, and Good News Ministries distributed these much-needed packs. We are proud to, once again, partner with A FULL SUMMER to provide HCES families an opportunity to “spread love through Tallahassee”.

Here’s how you can get involved:
A FULL SUMMER: Saturday, June 1, 2024, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, Godby High School cafeteria (1717 W. Tharpe Street)
  • Donate money towards our $1,000 contribution requirement and help A FULL SUMMER meet their $40,000 goal to purchase the snacks and support local school food pantries.

We hope you will join us in supporting A FULL SUMMER on June 1st.  And we look forward to sharing more opportunities in the fall as we work side-by-side to spread the HCES love through Tallahassee!
