The anniversary themed, Black and White Ball welcomed guests to a one-of-a-kind experience as guests strolled through the decades celebrating how far our school has come complete with a sneak peek of what the future holds. Stunning arrangements adorned the tables and delectable wines welcomed sponsors to their seats. In line with the theme, photos could be seen throughout the event taking guests on a trip through the past. Attendees had the opportunity to bid on silent auction items that included health and beauty products, jewelry, athletic collectibles and our very own student art. During dinner, the live auction featured friendly competition over jewelry, unique dinner parties and wonderful vacations including a luxurious Costa Rica vacation, a Midsummer Night's dinner, a precious English Cocker puppy and an unforgettable Kentucky Derby experience. The raffle winner for the HCES tuition giveaway was drawn during the live auction, as well. At the conclusion of the auction, guests were asked to step outside for a special surprise - a fireworks show atop our iconic Student Center. The evening concluded with the entire dance floor moving to the sounds of the Blues Factor Band.
Numerous volunteers worked countless hours under the direction of Susie Juhlin, 2016 Gala Chair, Michelle Hewitt, Decor Chair and Katherine Boland, Auction Chair to make the evening a success. All proceeds will benefit the PA's pledge to the STEM Capital Campaign and the Head of School Special Projects Fund which will fund an outdoor chapel space commemorating our past.
