Middle School students are sharing news across our campus. Crusader News Network, branded as CNN, is a Middle School elective created for our young writers that teaches the basics of journalism. With it being increasingly more difficult to tell fact from fiction in mainstream media, students are taught importance of writing pieces that reflect accurate and interesting, unbiased information to their audience. In the class, students are allowed to explore their own interests and discuss topics that they find interesting. The class meets every other school day for one hour and during this time, the students strive to get at least one story completed each class. Last year, the CNN elective shared their stories on paper and posted them in the hallways. This year, the class has setup a news site to share their information with our entire school community. We invite you to take a look and check back for stories each week regarding activities and events on campus. Click here to visit CNN's site.
Soon, each student will create their own video bio, which will link from their photo on the homepage of the website. Stay tuned!
