Grandpeople's Day

HCES students took their "grandpeople" on a musical trip through the movies on Tuesday, November 21st at the annual Grandpeople's Day. Over 500 grandpeople joined their grandchildren for a morning of performances and time in the classroom.

After a lively music program full of movie classics, grandpeople were invited back to the classroom to visit and enjoy refreshments. Three separate sessions for different grade levels invited them for time with their students. Grandparents in the 1st and 2nd sessions listened to the wonderful music performed by grades PK-1st and 2nd - 5th grade students with cameos from a few of our Middle School Choir students. Middle school students invited their grandpeople to a traditional chapel program with performances from guitar students and the Middle School Choir.

Grandpeople's Day a long standing Holy Comforter tradition, is held each year on the Tuesday before the Thanksgiving holidays. A grandperson may be a grandparent, aunt, uncle, friend or any special person. This Thanksgiving, we gave special thanks for all of our grandpeople!
